And the Judges Are….

It’s hard to believe the 2017 COUTURE Design Awards are only a few weeks away, but we are absolutely thrilled. We’ve already received hundreds of entries, and cannot wait to see all these beautiful designs in person this June.

This year’s judges have been chosen, and we are excited to introduce Yossi Harari, Julie Thom, Melissa Geiser, Katerina Perez, and Daisy Shaw.  Our designer judge, Yossi Harari, grew up surrounded by his grandfather’s extensive and worldly antique jewelry collection. He designed his first piece at age 11, and shortly after, sought out a full training and education in gemology and metalsmithing to pursue his chosen career. Julie Thom, owner of Von Bargen’s, brings a wealth of knowledge of fine artisan jewelry, as she invests her time in finding the most creative designers for her five stores. Melissa Geiser, the jewelry buyer from Stanley Korshak, brings her keen eye and the distinctively discerning taste she’s developed sourcing the best of the best for Dallas’s fashion mecca. Our last two judges hail from the editorial community: international jewelry reporter, Katerina Perez, and Vanity Fair Accessories Director, Daisy Shaw, bring their world travels, industry experience, and passion for beautiful jewelry to the judging table.

Thank you to our wonderful team of judges and all our designers and brands who submitted an entry. We hope to see you all at the 2017 COUTURE Design Awards, held Sunday June 4th at the Encore Theater!
