Cause for Celebration

It was great to see so many of you at the events taking place during New York Jewelry Market Week. From the Javits center to the Hammerstein Ballroom, the COUTURE community was seen all over New York City! We’d like to congratulate all of the WJA award winners and nominees; your recognition was well-deserved.

The winner for the Design in Fine Jewelry and Watches category was Claudia Kretchmer, president of Steven Kretchmer. Strongly influenced by her father, she gave a touching speech noting that it would have been his birthday on that very night.

Sisters Jennifer Gandia and Christina Gandia Gambale took home the Retail award for 15 or Fewer Doors for their notable store in lower Manhattan, Greenwich St. Jewelers.

Jen Cullen Williams earned the Marketing and Communications award for her excellent work as managing director for the Luxury Brand Group, and Syl Tang, contributor to Financial Times Watches & Jewellery and CEO of HipGuide, was awarded the Editorial Media award.

Lastly, Michelle Peranteau, won the Award for Excellence in Watches for her work as the former director of marketing and communications at Baume et Mercier
