Viva Las Vegas with Buddha Mama

The cool factor at COUTURE definitely moved up several notches when Buddha Mama launched with us last year! Gorgeous, Eastern inspired jewelry designed by mother/daughter team Nancy and Dakota Badia, who work in tandem with the gorgeous and talented Leyla, Dakota’s long-time best friend and pseudo daughter to Nancy…with their tattoos and their laid back, Miami style and their “ride or die” attitude, you just want to hang out with them all day long. And if you did hang out with “the girls” as I often refer to them, you’d find that you’d talk about jewelry and rock stars and you’d probably do some mediation and yoga and have a few cocktails and eat delicious food and maybe take a dance class and then end up spontaneously getting a tattoo…so, I guess, be careful what you wish for!

COUTURE: How many years have you been exhibiting at COUTURE?

Nancy Badia: This will be our 2nd year!

COUTURE: Vegas Uniform?

NB: Nice on top, comfy on the bottom. No heels in this booth, dude.

COUTURE: Vegas Mantra?

NB: Pass the Windex.

COUTURE: Vegas Theme Song?

NB: “Workin’ Day and Night” by Michael Jackson

COUTURE: Vegas Evening Ritual?

COUTURE: Sanity Tip?

NB: Advil and sunshine when you can.

COUTURE: What’s the one piece/collection you’re most excited to launch?
