Rocking Out in Tucson

The COUTURE team spent three amazing days in Tucson for the annual gem shows. We had the opportunity to shadow some of our emerging designers as well as the seasoned jewelry vets at AGTA and GJX in order to see what they are sourcing for their upcoming collections.

The stone hunt is one very small part of a much grander design process; something we are constantly in awe of – from inspiration to sketches to wax models and ultimately the amazing pieces and collections that come from this very involved but incredibly rewarding process. While Victor Velyan was sourcing rubies for a one-of-a-kind piece commissioned by a very special client, Claudia from Steven Kretchmer let herself go wild and bought some unexpected, one-of-a-kind stones and Buddha Mama, one of the newest additions to the COUTURE community, was on a pearl and moonstone shopping spree.

We’re so thankful to be surrounded by these truly inspired designers in Tucson and throughout the year. We’ll certainly be on the lookout for some amazing one-of-a-kind pieces and innovative new collections at COUTURE in May.
